A Call To Intimacy

Can a stranger enter someone’s family house for the first time with the intention of dining them and actually achieving that? I think the stranger might not be allowed to even enter the house. Now, talk of enjoying the privilege of eating together as a family when he is not connected to them in any way?

Some things are reserved for family alone and an outsider seeking such privileges must work his way to break certain bounds in order to share in the joy of such people.

Jesus says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Rev. 3:20)

Is it not obvious that Jesus wants to get personal and intimate with us in order to share in our joy and pain just as families do?

Why is He is just standing at the door and haven’t entered yet, even though He has the power to? You might be wondering.

Well, this is because of who He is, LOVE. And the integrity of His word.

You see, Jesus will never force His way on anyone to accept Him, He will never use canning ways to trap someone into loving Him back, least He be put on the same scale with the enemy. This is why waits on us to willingly accept Him because of all that things love is as scripted in (1 Corinthians 13:4-8); Love suffers long and is kind; … Love never fails.

This year also, just as the many others that have come to pass, He stands at the door knocking, if only you’ll behold, He who patiently awaits your willful acceptance. You will see His goodness manifest in your life.

Would you open up to him? Yes, would you accept Jesus as Lord over your life? Now?
