Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
(1 John 4:11)
It is amazing how God chose to love us deeply even when we couldn’t even love ourselves, yet we mostly are unwilling to extend this same grace to men like us.
God’s Word makes us understand that No one has seen God at any time. Nonetheless we are able to see God through love If we have love, one for another.
If we are able to show love, then it means that God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us because He Himself is Love. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit, the same Spirit that pours out the Love of God in our heart. (Roman 5:5)
Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? James 2:15-16
Let us not be hearers of the Word only but also doers! Let’s take advantage of this Christmas season and do some good to people, as God did to all men many years ago by giving us Jesus; a sign of His love for us.
Just the other day a simple kind act Jesus rendered unto zacchaeus the tax collector caused him to make the right decision of repenting of His sins and accepting Jesus as Lord even without Jesus uttering direct words to convict him of sin.
You are just a kind gesture away from leading someone to Christ, it is not always about speaking the word, you must act the word, people react better when they see you practice what you teach, especially on them.
Loving one another is the only thing that will make men see the God we serve, He is Love!
Dear God, open my eyes today to see someone in need and help me attend to their needs in Jesus name, amen.
