Today’s Fragrance: Reject that bad report!

Where can we go? Our brothers have made our hearts melt in fear. They say, “The people are stronger and taller than we are; the cities are large, with walls up to the sky. We even saw the Anakites there.” (Deuteronomy 1:28)

There is no way a believer can be crushed. He is unbeatable because he has the Winner, God Himself on his side. (Read Roman 8:31)

The Israelites lacked faith because they chose to accept the bad report of 11 spies over the report that was in line with God’s Word delivered by Caleb. Consequently, that report wrought fear in the Israelites rather than faith, that which can cause them to raise up and take possession of the land the Lord was giving unto them.

Fear is definitely not from God, don’t treat it as a virtue! Refuse it in Jesus name. The Spirit He gave us is of power, love and a sound mind. Never fear!!

David said in Psalm 62:11a

“God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this…”

Man hears twice, first with our ears, and second with our heart. Hearing with our heart moves us to act on what we heard with our ears, because we receive insight/revelation into that word.

So as you hear God’s Word, faith is built in your heart but bad reports builds fear!

How do we shield ourselves from these fake reports that bring fear? We combat it with the sword of the spirit!! The Word Of God, by allow it to dwell richly in our hearts, meditating on it day and night.

We Speak boldly. Live boldly and Confess boldly.

Take note however, that the enemy will try to surround us with fear but know that it only puts on flesh in our lives if we accept it. We must exorcise fear!!

Because Caleb followed the Lord wholeheartedly, not only did he see the land that was promised, he actually made it to that land and possessed it!

Whose report are you going to follow today?

Shalom!
