Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. (James 5:17)
Elijah was a man who did exploits! He was a man who feared the Lord. Well, he was also a man with a nature like us, which means he had fears yet conquered it.
Why? Because He knew who had sent Him and always remembered that. So he simply obeyed and threw the responsibility to Him. He relied fully on God, and every word that came out of His mouth.
Mark 5:36 gives me this understanding; The fear of God casts out the fear of man. So I say, “Any man who fears God fears no man.”
Do you think that the opposite of fear is courage? Nope. it is faith! Guess what, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. So if you still confess fear instead of His Word then it can only be that you don’t have enough of His Word in you to cast out fear!
Every child of God is covered and marked by the blood of Jesus. One who has attained the position of Sonship is beyond the reach of the powers of hell, witches, spells, curses, demons and all the devil’s minions. The blood that covers us is impenetrable and invulnerable.
You see, there is something about being born again that we have not fully utilized. That’s the power we have in life and over the devil.
My dear friend, don’t trade your joy and victory in Christ Jesus for fear.
Fear is not of God, it is of the devil who already knows his end. But wants to interrupt the good life believers have in Christ Jesus, using deceptive means to steal, kill and destroy. He isn’t a lion, he just acts like one to test our paws to know if we really mean our confession in Christ.
So come on and Speak boldly. Live boldly and Confess boldly.
Boldness is all we need at this level of our salvation!
Refuse fear! Keep on believing on Jesus!
You are a Victor! You’re More Than A Conqueror!
