And I have other sheep [beside these] that are not of this fold. I must bring and impel those also; and they will listen to My voice and heed My call, and so there will be [they will become] one flock under one Shepherd. (John 10:16) AMP
IT HAS never been a question of chance or uncertainty whether men shall be saved. This Scripture should further push believers to carry out the Matthew 28:19 agenda. It is certain that there are others who shall be members of Jesus’ redeemed church. And Jesus is making that happen through His followers.
Jesus reveals to us how we can win over unbelievers by doing what He does. If Jesus sees all men as His sheep, even though some are not yet in His sheep pen why do men see otherwise? The fact that someone isn’t a believer yet does not mean that person can never have a change of heart. We have classified some people as preeminent sinners and for that matter we don’t even attempt to share the gospel with them not to even talk of treating them as Jesus would, yet we claim to follow Him.
Jesus said that He has other sheep but because those sheep do no listen to His instructions they are scattered and are not in his sheep pen. He, despite their stubbornness, is unwilling to let them go or forget about them. So, the same way He was able to get us, who were once scattered to come together in His pen and also listen to Him. He will continue to use the right means to get to them, and they will listen eventually. He created man and knows the way into man’s heart.
Before you can do anything else in the lives of others you must show them love. Without love there can be no connection, future and no success together.
People we allow to influence our lives are those who genuinely appeal to our heart in kind. These kind acts speak volumes to the heart of men and causes the heart to give in to their instructions.
Love is the very reason why Jesus laid His life for us and He is still using that means to get back the lost sheep. But now that mandate has been put in the hands of all believers, He has put His love in our hearts to enable us see as He sees, without condemning.
If we are following Jesus, we must follow Him all out and even in evangelism we must appeal to the heart of men not only by words. Our actions must agree with our words also. We must show genuine concern for people and by that they will open up and heed to our instructions as given by the Spirit of God.
