For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost. (Luke 19:10)
PEOPLE THINK you are way beyond salvation because they sin differently from you. They do not think you deserve mercy because what you’ve done is abominable, beyond what a human being should do.
Truth is, People will always have something better to say about themselves as compared to someone else. And that’s okay, but what is not okay is when you condemn yourself when God hasn’t. when you say to yourself that there is no way out of a situation you find yourself in when in fact God says that He who calls on the name of Jesus shall be saved.
What do you seek? Do you want to see Jesus? Do you earnestly desire eternal life? Then forget what people are saying, yes you might be the worse sinner as the crowd that surrounded Jesus said of Zacchaeus, but that didn’t matter to Jesus, what you are willing to do in order to see Jesus is what matters. Your earnest desire and determination will cause you to see Jesus, not what the people are saying.
You are broken and downcast, well, that’s good enough because such are those that the Son of man came to seek, people who are lost and needed to be found, people who are aware of their conditions and accept that they need saving, not hypocrites.
If only you would accept the invitation He is throwing to you to lodge in your house today (your heart) He will clean that place up, He will wipe clean the floor of your heart with the fan in His hands and gather together all the good things and make them work better for you but as for the chaff, he will burn them to ensure that your life is well lived for His glory.
Will you accept this invitation?
Father God, thank you for your grace and mercies towards me, today I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that you came purposely for sinners as me, I need a savior, and I find that in you, so I accept your lordship over my life, occupy my heart and lead me to the place of rest in yourself, in Jesus name, amen.
