Today’s Fragrance : No One shares God’s Glory

Main text:  Judges 10:1

He said, “Without question these are my people, children who would never betray me.” So he became their Savior. In all their troubles, he was troubled, too. He didn’t send someone else to help them. He did it himself, in person. Out of his own love and pity he redeemed them. He rescued them and carried them along for a long, long time. Isaiah 63:8-9 (MSG)

Do you have the faintest of an idea as to how much God trusts you? How much He cares for you? How He has so much confidence in you because you are His dearly beloved?

There came a time when the people of God, the Israelites became so rebellious and sinned against God, and in effect, God then gave them into the hands of their enemies. They were in such a mess until they returned to their God for help.

One thing about our God is that, He is ever loving and so whenever His people realize their faults and return to Him for forgiveness, He does and welcomes them back home, the reason being that He never wishes for any of His children to go through Hell or even stay there.

Do you know that God has a soft spot for people who are sincere at heart. This means that no matter what happens when we repent and return to Him He accepts us.

Reading through Judges, it is realized that, when the Israelites went to God for help He turned them away saying that they should seek for help from the gods they chose to serve instead of Him. This depicts highly, the part of scripture where God is described as a jealous God, He shares what belongs to Him with no one…

So, til the Israelites turned away from their sinful ways and made an attempt to rid their houses off of the foreign gods, the Almighty God did not have their trouble at heart.

Then they cleaned their house of the foreign gods and worshiped only God. And God took Israel’s troubles to heart. Judges 10:16 (MSG)

Beloved, any time we depend on our own strength and others apart from God, He leaves us to do what we please, and by experience, we all know that our fleshy desires yields everything but lasting results.

Have you replaced God with yourself or another human or thing, I pray that you will repent and be redeemed right this moment in Jesus name. Amen. May The good Lord help us all.

Shalom.
