Today’s Fragrance: Lying To Protect Your Integrity

Colossians 3:9-10

Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.

Many times we find ourselves in a way or the other lying to protect an image of ourselves. An image we’ve raised so high yet sits on worldly standards.

They say little drops of water makes a mighty ocean. How about those little lies? There is the possibility of it growing into something humongous. That which you didn’t bargain for, and it certainly won’t be positive.

Two wrongs definitely do not make a right, they make a left…

We find ourselves constantly in spheres where falsehood is celebrated whiles truthfulness is condemned.

I mean friends would rather have you lie, why I say this? because after pouring out your heart of truth they always ask, are you sure?

So to save ourselves some headache and harsh judgment, we are compelled to tell a lie so we are free.

The thing is, telling lies should keep you bound and in chains but the world equate that to freedom.

What is the point of being a born again Christian when you still hold on to these little lies?

Today’s scripture admonishes us to lay aside the things of our old self. For we are now a new creation…

As we constantly study God’s Word, our minds, ideologies and way of life is shifted to suit that of God.

So if you constantly feed on the Word and still live like you did when you hadn’t met Christ then, something is wrong somewhere.

We must make conscious efforts and firmly purpose in our hearts and minds that, no matter what comes at us, we are going to be a Reflection Of truth which is the word of God.

Let people see you, and see the God in You. Be the Bible someone without a Bible gets to read without being led astray.

Remain a blessing!
