Today’s Fragrance: Be The Friend You Wanna Have.

“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” Proverbs 17:17

Proverbs 19:6 Many will intreat the favour of the prince: and EVERY MAN IS A FRIEND TO HIM THAT GIVETH GIFTS.

We all have friends but it gets to a time when they naturally crossover the friend zone to the sister or brother zone.

It is interesting to note that as times are full of fun, you get lots to share in it, even the uninvited.

But in the ugly face of adversity, issues begin cropping up, and as they take to their heels it would appear as though a whistle has been blown for everyone to flee your presence.

Adversity here is a state or instance of serious or continued difficulty or misfortune.

Our scripture today gives us some good characteristics of one we can call friend. First, a good friend is one who LOVES AT ALL TIMES, one who depends not on reasons to Love.

This means he or she stays with you to care and support both in good and bad times.

Secondly, a good friend is born for ADVERSITY. This means that a good and true friend remains true, loyal and supportive especially in times of trouble and hardship. They are not selective of what moments to share in. They are in for you and all the “goods” You carry.

A popular writer, William Shakespeare once said: “A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow”

And whiles He is at it, can you also try to be the Friend you wanna have or meet? More grace!
