Today’s fragrance : Home sweet Home

“But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ“. Philippians 3:20

It is set ahead of us, a day where we shall all be judged into either eternal damnation or glory.

Our scripture today lays emphasis on what’s supposed to be the believers residential address.
Great joy comes along with being a citizen of a rich, popular, and powerful nation like America, probably because of some benefits to be enjoyed. It is unexplainable, maybe that’s why people who ain’t one naturally go an extra mile to attain citizenship.
Today I’m here talking of no earthly citizenship, for us belivers of the Lord Jesus Christ, Our Citizenship is in Heaven 🙌🏽.
The place the Lord Jesus is, is a place belivers should yearn to be.
We need to understand that we are strangers on this land. Earth is no home for us, it isn’t our final destination. It is just a phase we need to complete to get to our destination. For this reason if you make the earth your prime focus you might miss the mark!
What then must we do on this earth to ensure we don’t miss out?

Three major things are laid out below for your benefit. Anything that might corrupt and hinder you from having a smooth transit into the glorious land is embedded in these 3 points.

Now let’s get to them, shall we?
1 John 2:16-17
For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.
1. The lust of the flesh

This refers to what the body desires. It generally means anything craved excessively or inappropriately, from food to sexual impurity.

2. The lust of the eyes
It does not only mean things we literally see, but those we imagine or put our “mental” eyes on.
3. The pride of life
This is the sinful desires that brings attention to one’s self. It also refers to our habit of bragging about ourselves. Jesus called boastful pride a sin (Mark 7:22).
Remember that pride always precedes a fall so watch out!
Ultimately you should have in mind that all these comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires will pass away anyways, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
You belong in heaven!
*Pray and ask God to help you live your life as He pleases.
