Topic : Your weakness, His strength
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 12:9
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me”.
It’s pretty normal to us to hide our weakness most times and focus on the Strength. Most of us do this because of the fear of being taken advantage of.
But Someway somehow we come across some people in Our lives and finally we fill free to be vulnerable around them.
The surprising thing for me is how we’ve acted strong many times Infront of people who don’t really know us and have translated that to even those who know as more than ourselves.
My point exactly is that some of us still go before our father in heaven(God) and still try to show him how strong we are when in fact He knows the things hidden in our hearts we are not personally aware of.
If there is someone you should be vulnerable around shouldn’t that be your Creator? So the question here is why do we go before him acting all puffed up?
Weakness isn’t a thing someone would delight in normally but sometimes God uses that to fulfill his purpose in our lives. Weakness helps us stay humble and to trust God completely to come up strong in us lest we boast of our works and deeds taking up God’s glory.
Weakness serve as a check on us, I Believe it is a control measure that keeps us from going overboard. I’ve seen and heard of stories where people’s weakness became their super strength because they placed it in the hands of someone who is interested in that.
This morning I would like to tell you that, yes humans mostly rejects us because we are imperfect and we have some pressing weakness but I’m elated to announce to you that there is actually One who loves them!!
God loves our weakness because it’s an opportunity for him to showcase his mighty strength in us for His glory.
Whenever you feel at your lowest, that is when you should draw closer but we find ourselves running away from him because we think we aren’t worthy enough to go before him with weaknesses when infact he tells us otherwise.
He loved us when we didn’t even know how to do that to ourselves.
So come on, lay it all before Him, enough of the superman/superwoman things even in front of God. Open up to Him and depend on Him completely, Let Him be a “Super Father” in your life, turning weakness into strength for Himself and for you.
1. Thank God for your life.
2. Ask for forgiveness of sins.
3. It’s time to open up about that weakness and trust Him completely to use it for good.
4. Thank Him for listening and answering in Jesus name, amen.
